Passionate Worship

Worship that is alive and relevant — that pleases God and makes a difference in our lives — doesn’t just happen by whim or only when we’re 'in the mood.'

We confess that sometimes we don’t even show up! Or we rush in, still full of whatever we were doing just before. We may not settle down and focus until the worship service is half over. We hope there is a “good show,” that the musicians and the preacher do well.

But worship is not an infrequent spectator event. It’s not something we watch other people do; it’s what we personally get to do, with others. When has worship been most moving to you? Was it when you were caught up in it? Have you prepared for that this Sunday? So...

worship every Sunday, praying that you will encounter the living God. Read the scripture ahead of time. (It's in the newsletter or we’ll email them to you.) Come with expectancy! What will God do today?
