Shine Kids at Cullman FUMC
Our mission is to partner with parents to teach our children Bible basics and what it means to have a relationship with Jesus Christ. We strive to prepare our kids for a life following The Lord.
“Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in Heaven”
For Sunday School, our Elementary classes learn classic bible stories that lay the foundation for a lifetime walk with God. The Fireflies (Kindergarten & 1st Grade) focus on the Old Testament, while The Stars (2nd & 3rd Grades) focus on the New Testament.
Our Tweens build on this foundation by learning the deeper aspects of what being a Christian means. They learn about the importance of prayer and grace, while understanding the covenants that God has made with each of us.
This curriculum prepares them for Confirmation and moving into the Youth Group.
For Wednesday Nights, our Elementary students have an upbeat worship experience where they are Plugged In to God's word. This is a more laid-back and fun time after a long day at school.
The Tweens review their Foundations lesson with more activities. They begin the night in joint worship time with our Youth Group.
Hello! I am the Children's Director at Cullman FUMC. I'm a graduate of UAB. I'm a nurse by formal training, and worked at Children's Hospital for several years. After having my son, I moved to an allergy & asthma clinic. Then then I felt the call from God to serve in ministry. I absolutely love my job! These kids have been an amazing blessing in my life, and I can't imagine not seeing their smiles each week. If you have any questions about me or the children's ministry, please, reach out via any of the communication outlets below!
